Sniper Traffic

The Edge Blueprint is now in full swing since Dan and Jon have released the first module of this amazing new job replacement strategy. It’s called Sniper Traffic, Dan’s favorite way to make money online. You don’t need to do SEO, write articles or build backlinks. The traffic generating strategy is completely different.

Sniper Traffic is concentrating on Pay Per View (PPV). This means you don’t pay per click like when you advertise in Google. You get charged everytime your ad shows on a website.  This may sound like a loss in comparison to PPC but the traffic potential is huge.

The benefits are: Pay Per View is NOT Google. You don’t have to worry about quality score or even have a landing page at all. You can link directly to your affiliate offers. Plus: If you do traditional SEO it takes time to get to page one on Google. With PPV you get your results in a few hours with traffic for pennies on the dollar. And it is completely scalable. If you find something that works you can throw a huge amount of money at your offer.

But: Pay Per View requires a very analytical and straight methodology. It’s all about the data. You can make a huge amount of cash. The most important aspect of the whole course however is tracking. You cannot manage what you cannot measure. With this strategy you can start thousands of campaigns quickly. But unless you track everything up to the microlevel you will lose money. This is the whole purpose of the course. You start you campaigns, look at what works and kill off the ones that don’t work.

Dan and Jon recommend to use a tool called Prosper202 to track your PPV campaigns and your earnings. There are already some videos up on the Edge Blueprint site on how to set the software up. So if you want to get started with replacing your job right away then sign up for the Edge Blueprint and get the first lessons completely free.

Comply Or Die – PPV Plus Email Marketing

The Edge Blueprint has started into its second module: Comply Or Die. It builds on the Sniper Traffic module as we are again dependent on PPV traffic. The great thing is that not only do we try to convert our visitors into leads. We also try to get their email address in the process so we can send them offers again and again. That means you can get paid multiple times for a single visitor.

The concept is pretty simple. You get someone to fill in his email address into the form on your landing page. When they do this they get subscribed to your list but also redirected to a CPA offer with their email already filled in the offer field. That means that you have another subscriber to your list which you can send offers to but once the visitor clicks on the submit button you will also get paid for the lead on the CPA offer.

If this sounds a bit confusing head on over to the Edge Blueprint page. Jon can explain it way better than me. His over the shoulder style of teaching is so easy that anyone can understand and (much more important) profit from it.

How To Build Landing Pages

Coins and banknotes, two of the most common ph...

Image via Wikipedia

The last Edge Blueprint videos were all about building effective landing pages. If the offer page doesn’t meet the quality requirements of your PPV network (exit pop-ups, auto-playing video or audio, or it lloks crappy in 750×550 pixels) then a landing page is the way to go. Sure, people have to click one more time to make you money but if they click through from your landing page to the offer it means that they’re already interested.

There are different ways to build a landing page:

  1. Take one of the creatives for your offer and build a page around it. Try to program it in a way that it looks good when shown in 750×550 pixels. Try also to match the background color to the background of the campaigns landing page. This way the change will be fluent for the visitor.
  2. Take screenshots of the offer page and edit them in Photoshop to get a compelling landing page.
  3. Build a page that shows one of the creatives and add some bullet points and a headline.

This is just a short overview. The Edge Blueprint videos go much more in depth with this. Building landing pages isn’t very complicated but you need to have basic HTML skills. For those who don’t know anything about building websites you get great landing page templates inside the Immediate Edge. Just out them up, change them to the offer you’re targeting and you’re set. You also get some lessons which have not been released for free on the Edge Blueprint. One of these exclusive videos taught how to create rotating landing pages to split-test different designs at once. The Edge team also conducted an Immediate Edge only Q&A a few days ago which was really helpful.

We are now looking forward to the first sessions on analyzing our stats in Prosper202. As the old saying goes: You can’t manage what you can’t measure. And that’s exactly what we are going to do with the Edge Blueprint: Optimizing our campaigns to a point where we don’t waste any money on targets or offers which don’t convert.

So tell me: Have you already set up a campaign inside Media Traffic or built a landing page yourself? If not head on over to the Edge Blueprint site to get free lessons for setting up a system that will replace your day job in six months.

Getting Targets For Your PPV Campaign

Microsoft Excel (Windows)

Image via Wikipedia

The last several Edge Blueprint videos were all about acquiring targets for your PPV campaign, e.g. which websites to advertise on and which keywords to target on Media Traffic. The process Jon showed is fairly simple and yet so intriguing. I’m going to show you the basic steps here. For more in-depth tutorial videos visit the Edge Blueprint website.

  • Go to the page of the offer you choose to promote and copy the domain’s URL. Example: If your offer’s URL is http://trials.mygreatcpaoffer.com/11AC8FFD?aid=635769&mhcp=36677 then you only need to copy http://trials.mygreatcpaoffer.com
  • Enter the URL into the Google AdWords Keyword Tool to get keywords related to your offer.
  • For all the keywords you’ve extracted you need to get the top 20 search results in Google, Yahoo and Bing. You can copy & paste them manually (which is a very time consuming process) or you use a tool like Placement Intelligence which automates the process.
  • Now you have to trim down all the URLs you gathered to fit the Media Traffic guidelines which means that no URL can be longer than 40 characters.
  • Also modify your keywords in a way that none is longer than three words.
  • In addition you should eliminate all domains which target another country than the one your offer is directed to. It simply doesn’t make sense to target a .co.uk domain if you want to market to the US.

You can do all the trimming in Excel. Jon’s videos will show you how. Please keep in mind that the process to acquire targets for your PPV campaign should not be treated lightly. If you watch the Edge Blueprint clips you will notice that there are many more things to consider than I could convey in such a short blog post. In addition to the video tutorials you will find more tools, tricks and (very handy!) Excel cheat sheets on the project’s webpage.

How To Select CPA Offers

In the newest Edge Blueprint videos Jon and Thomas talk about how to analyze and select a CPA offer for your campaign. There are different factors to consider when choosing an offer. Here are the most important points:

  • Don’t just focus on email-submit campaigns that look easy. For one thing you won’t get paid for every submit you can convert. And most of the time competition will be too much because everybody thinks it’s so easy.
  • Don’t only focus on payout.  CPA offers with a high payout often require lots of information the customer has to put in or lots of actions he has to perform. Not many people will go that far. Check out the campaign description and look up on which page the pixel fires (this means how many pages the customer has to get through until you get paid). The lower the number the better for you.
  • Think about if your offer if seasonal and if there is a market for it right now.
  • Check out the allowed promotional types for each campaign. If contextual advertising is allowed you can direct link it in a PPV campaign. If it is not you’re gonna have to build a landing page.
  • Check out the terms of service of your PPV network. They have their own special rules on what you should do. For example most of the time you aren’t allowed to direct link to a site that has pop-ups.
  • Use the Web Developer Firefox add-on to resize your browser window to 750×550 pixels. This is the maximum size that a PPV network displays its ads. You have to make sure that the offer page looks compelling in a browser window with this size.
  • Try to find offers which are targeted to the US. You should go for them simply because this is the largest market. If you can’t reach the offer page because you live in another country try Hotspot Shield.
  • In the end just try to go through the offer page yourself, fill out the form and see if you are compelled by it or if you get bored.

These are just some examples of what needs to be considered when choosing a CPA offer. For more information on this topic check out the Edge Blueprint videos with detailed hands on, over the shoulder examples.

Getting Accepted by CPA Networks

Next step in the Edge Blueprint is something many aspiring internet marketers shy away from: applying for CPA networks. But it’s way easier than you think. I myself have just been accepted by COPEAC, one of the networks that the Edge Blueprint team considers one of the harder ones. And I didn’t have any problems whatsoever.

The key to getting accepted to any network is to call an affiliate manager before you sign up for the site.  It’s all about communication. CPA networks are a business with real people on the other end and they want to know who the’re working with. And you have to sell yourself, tell them that you know what you’re doing and that you’re ready to deliver them lots of traffic.  First of all you have to know what terms like CPA, PPV, net-15 etc. mean. You have to sound like you’ve been successful in the business for some time. The networks obviously want to accept successful people and that’s what you have to convince them of: that you are going to succeed promoting their offers. That doesn’t mean that you have to lie to the affiliate managers. You have to show that you are determined to go through with it.

One great tip by the Edge Blueprint team: Call them up and do an interview with them to see if they are the network you want to work with. That takes you into control. You’re leading the phone call. They have to answer your questions. Preparation is key here.

Finally don’t be afraid to fail. Even the Edge Blueprint team has been rejected from CPA networks. Just contact another company and after some time try again.

John and Paul from the Edge Blueprint team have lots of other great tips in their two CPA network videos. Check them out at the Edge Blueprint. Members of the Immediate Edge get even more tips. Paul recorded real application calls with affiliate managers of different networks to demonstrate how he gets accepted.

Edge Blueprint Questions Answered

Last week Dan Raine and Jon Dean recorded the first Edge Blueprint Q&A session. Although relatively little is known about what will be taught inside the Edge Blueprint there already were lots of questions.

I will try to go through the most important answers here.

Since the Sniper Traffic strategy will focus on buying ads in PPV networks most people wanted to know how much money they should be expecting to spend in the beginning. Dan and Jon estimated that the minimum would be 50 dollars. For only ten dollars you can test out a campaign quickly. After a few times (at most fifty dollars) you can expect to see some revenue which will finance you further endeavors and help you grow your campaigns and your income stream.

Many people were also worried about Google AdWords, the quality score of their sites and direct linking to affiliate offers. Since the Edge Blueprint is focusing on PPV this doesn’t play any role whatsoever. Google won’t be a part of this course. It also means that you can be located anywhere in the world to participate in the Edge Blueprint. Mostly you will be targeting US-ads to US customers but since you  will be paying for the traffic it doesn’t matter where you or your servers are located.

With the Edge Blueprint Dan promises to get you out of your day job as quickly as possible. Since many people who are interested in this course do have a day job time is an important factor. It is important to understand that to test different campaigns you will need to invest some time. However, you can go through the training at your own speed. You will not miss out on anything if your pace is slower. After the training program is over you will probably need a couple of hours per day to sustain your income. In the beginning you should plan on working two hours per day on your business.

Dan also announced that Facebook advertising will be part of the training. The Edge Blueprint team spent a lot of cash to figure out what works there and how to leverage it to get boatloads of traffic. I’m very excited about this one.

The next videos however will teach you how to get into the CPA networks. Most people struggle with that but Dan has a surefire way to make it happen. He once taught a CPA network strategy inside the Immediate Edge and it worked like a charm for me.

If you want to get the full Edge Blueprint course to replace your day job in six months I suggest you click here and subscribe to Dan’s newsletter to never miss out on a lesson again.

A first glimpse of the Edge Blueprint

Today Dan Raine released the first video that gives us a little glimpse on what the Edge Blueprint is about, what to expect and how its content will be taught. And of course how the Edge Blueprint came into being.

Dan’s biggest membership site, the  Immediate Edge, is a huge repository for internet marketing training. The biggest point of critique though was that there is no overarching process teaching you step-by-step how to build a business.  Dan and Ed Dale then reviewed all their processes of doing keyword research, setting up websites and launching a product. These processes will be the ones they teach in the Edge Blueprint.

But also very important is the style of teaching. Most people don’t believe that you can make a living on the internet. But that’s exactly what the Edge Blueprint wants to convert you to. Dan wants you to replace your day job in six months. You will see exactly what Dan is doing at every point during the entire process.  It takes work but it is a serious possibility. A typical wage of 36,00 dollars can be split up into 99 dollars a day. This is completely feasible. You just have to follow along Dan Raine’s business building processes, replicate them and reap the benefits.

So what exactly will be taught in the Edge Blueprint? The first module of the program will be called Sniper Traffic. It’s nothing like you have been taught in the Thirty Day Challenge. It doesn’t have anything to do with SEO and organic traffic. It’s a quick-fire way to make money online.

It’s also not an article marketing program. According to Dan you won’t be creating much content at all. It pretty much involves zero backlinking or social networking. Sounds like a dream come true. Most 30DCers I’ve encountered hate article writing. And backlink building also can be a dragging process. The whole first module is created to generate an instant 40,000 to 50,000 visitors on your website per day – without all the hassle of setting up a page, bookmarking and then waiting what will happen on page one in Google. Within a few hours you will see if your ideas work out or fail. And failing fast is important in the Edge Blueprint.

The faster you fail the quicker you can dismiss your project and launch another ten different ones. Finally there will be one idea that works and brings you money. BUT—it will be a huge amount of work (despite the lack of content creation and backlink building). The good thing is: You will see result right away. Dan promises that once you’ve gone through module one (which will be free to all subscribers as I understood it) you’ll be in the top 1 percent of all internet marketers. This definitely will give you a cutting edge over everybody in your marketplace.

What is the Edge Blueprint?

By now you probably have heard some rumors about Dan Raine’s newest internet marketing endeavor called the Edge Blueprint. At the moment there’s not much on the page, just a short video with Dan telling us what it’s all about.

Most of you probably know Dan already from the Thirty Day Challenge or his more advanced teaching program Immediate Edge. While the 30DC is purely for beginners in this field, laying out everything step by step and explaining every tiny bit, the Edge is far more complicated.

New members might be overwhelmed at first by the sheer mass of content. You can find everything imaginable: market research, SEO, list building, advertising, social media, copywriting, website buying & selling, blog farms, CPA, YouTube marketing EVERYTHING!

Plus: You get all content from the Thirty Day Challenge Plus for free.

The downside: You have to know what you’re doing. The Immediate Edge is not for beginners. If you have a clear picture of where you want to go and how you want to achieve it you can find all the information there to boost your profits.

The new Edge Blueprint tries to bring the two worlds together: the step-by-step teaching-methods of the Thirty Day Challenge with the cutting-edge strategies of the Immediate Edge. And boy will you need them.

As Dan tells us in the video his prediction for 2010 is that with the launch of Google Caffeine and a shift in search engines to be more real-time focused you won’t get a top ranking by simply doing some SEO. But he provides a solution: What they are planning to do in the Edge Blueprint is to set up a system that gets money in your pocket as fast as possible. They are in fact providing a viable job replacement strategy here.

The cool thing: You can follow Dan and his crew in real time and see how they are working on their niches. In the past they didn’t disclose the markets they were working on to keep unwanted competition out. This is gonna change in the Edge Blueprint. It’s like looking over the shoulder of your favorite internet marketing guru and repeating the steps he shows you.

What’s even cooler: Dan will release the first few lessons from the Edge Blueprint completely FREE OF CHARGE!

At the moment you can sign up for these lessons here.

Immediate Edge members will get all the Blueprint content, Thirty Day Challenge Plus Content, original Edge content plus…psst…a secret Edge Blueprint launch case study for Edge members only.
